NASIFA Consultant Urban Transformation through Civil Society Organizations Participations

I am Mohamed Ibrahim Shatta , Sudanese , born in 1952 . My B.Sc. in architecture from university of Khartoum in 1977 and my M.Sc. in urban planning from university of Michigan , AnArbor , USA in 1983 . I have many memberships in different associations. I worked as planning expert in Deputy Ministry of Town Planning , Ministry of Municipalities and Rural Affairs , Saudi Arabia for 15 years in which I participated mainly in studies of Master Plans , Regional Plans , Urban Boundaries , Urban Development Priorities for towns and cities , Structure Plans . when I returned home I worked as lecturer in Dept. of Urban Planning , Faculty of Urban Sciences , Al Azhri University , while I am working in teaching I established my own firm Nasifa for engineering consultancies covering different fields of engineering such as historical buildings rehabilitation (12 buildings ) , strategic planning depending mainly on public participations ( more than 200 meetings ) . Also I worked as national consultant Urban and Regional planner with U.N Habitat ( 5 jobs) . member of many planning committees , I attended and participated in many workshops , symposiums and conferences .
