Union of Relief and development associations (URDA) is one of the largest NGOs in Lebanon, and it consists of more than 80 humanitarian organizations which joined efforts to coordinate charity work in Lebanon, especially the support of Syrian refugees fleeing the plight of war. URDA seeks to be an influential reference for humanitarian work in Lebanon and the leading umbrella for model organizations with sustainable capabilities working professionally to develop the society
Jihan Kaisi is the programs’ director at URDA; her degree is in journalism. But her extensive experience of twenty years is in humanitarian work, especially in directing relief, health and developmental programs, mainly in the Palestinian camps, Syrian Refugees and poor Lebanese areas.
Since the beginning of Syria crisis, she supervised relief sectors related to Syrian refugees, in the fields of shelter, food and non-food items, hospitalization, water and sanitation, education, psychosocial support and development.
She gave many training sessions about developing humanitarian and relief projects, media coverage for charitable programs, disaster management, creativity and uniqueness in humanitarian work, and quality services protecting beneficiaries’ dignities. She also participated in many relief conferences all over the world.
